Steve moved to Mackay with his wife and daughter in 2020. Since arriving in sunny Queensland, he and his wife have welcomed three more beautiful children into their family.
Steve is passionate about helping people and committed to delivering the highest standard of physiotherapy care. He has dedicated thousands of hours to advancing his clinical expertise through extensive professional development, including studying and training under the supervision of some of Australia’s leading physiotherapists. He recently completed a Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is now an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist — a distinction held by approximately 6.5% of physiotherapists in Australia.
He is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the Australian College of Physiotherapists, and serves on the APA Queensland Musculoskeletal Group Committee.
Steve has undertaken advanced training in the assessment and management of spinal conditions, sporting injuries, and rehabilitation. He has completed extensive coursework in the treatment of persistent pain, headaches, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot and ankle, and temporomandibular joint (jaw) conditions, as well as additional training in Clinical Pilates.
He recognises that there is always a person behind the painful shoulder, knee, or back, and believes each individual’s recovery journey is unique. His approach focuses on understanding the whole person and tailoring treatment to their specific goals, needs, and circumstances.
Steve is a strong advocate for physiotherapy and the non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions through evidence-based movement and rehabilitation strategies. He enjoys treating a wide range of conditions and has a particular interest in spinal pain (neck and back), shoulder conditions, headaches, jaw disorders, knee pain, and the non-operative management of ACL injuries.
He is currently completing a Master of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy through La Trobe University.
Outside of physiotherapy, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, training in the gym, being outdoors, drinking coffee, and following the NBA and AFL. Two of his proudest personal achievements include trekking to Everest Base Camp and completing the Melbourne Half Marathon.
