Deputy Principal Physiotherapist – BSc(PT)Hons
Special Interest: Complex Shoulder Conditions
Ginny Erichsen is a highly experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 30 years of clinical practice across university teaching hospitals and private practices in both England and Australia.
As Deputy Principal Physiotherapist at Active Physiotherapy, Ginny plays a key leadership role, managing a team of 15 clinicians, coordinating professional development, mentoring staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across the team.
Ginny has developed a strong clinical focus in the assessment and treatment of complex shoulder conditions. Her interest began during her time working alongside orthopaedic shoulder surgeons in the UK, where she gained valuable experience observing surgeries, participating in outpatient clinics, and contributing to research. This interest has continued to evolve through ongoing postgraduate study and clinical collaboration with shoulder surgeons and referrers. Today, Ginny’s caseload predominantly consists of complex shoulder presentations, with referrals from Brisbane-based and local surgeons, GPs, and other allied health professionals.
